Laval's Waterloo?
CRITICAL DEBATE NEXT WEEK. United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright Received Thursday, Midnight. , LONDON, Nov. 21. The Daily Telegraph’s Paris correspondent says the fate of Laval’s Government will be decided in a threc-day debate on the Fascist question beginning on the 28th. The Radicals and other Leftists arc urging that all Fascist Leagues, including the formidable Croix de Feu, should be disbanded. After a meeting yesterday night these Deputies announced that if they did not receive entire satisfaction they would join the Socialists and Communists in overthrowing the Government. M. Laval has not yet shown his hand, but apparently is not prepared to agree to such a drastic step though ho may enforce additional police precautions and forbid all Fascist meetings public or private. This, however, will merely irritate the Right groups constituting an important part of the Government’s majority.
