FL`YING TO THE SOUTH POLE.—The aeroplane Polar Star, in which Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth (inset) is attempting a flight across the Antarctic, being loaded on to the expedition’s supply ship Wyatt Earp. The latest report regarding the flight states that the Polar Star, after a successful take off, has been compelled to put back to its base owing to a broken petrol pipe. .
