Mr I<\ McKenzie, who was In tho chair, reported on his Investigations regarding the club’s proposed - incorporation, and fully explained the position. • The question was thoroughly discussed and it was decided that tho club Incorporate under tho name of tho Bunnythorpe Sports Club, Tho list of rules as drawn up was adopted and tho necessary names were listed for tho club to apply for incorporation. The proposed date of the sports Is Saturday, February 22, 1035. Uance. Tho barn dance held at: Mr W. Maxwell’s on Friday last proved to bo very popular, there being an excellent attendance. On this occasion euchro players were also catered for. Tho arrangements were again of first-class order and the barn looked very attractive. Tho feature of tho evening was tho orchestra, composed as follows: Accordeons, Messrs It. G. Powell, A. E. Hyde and F. Hooper; violin, Mr R. 'Williams. Tho effect was. most pleasing. Tho real old barn dance spirit was much In evidence and the slecpln; Infant completed tho picture. Tho euchre winners were Mrs Pinfold senr. and Mr Pinfold aenr. Supper was served by the wives of tho school committee members. Tho chairman of tho school committee (Mr F. McKenzie) thanked Mr and Mrs Maxwell for again putting tho promises at the disposal of the committee, and making possible tho function which had been a. financial and social success. Thanks were also duo to Mossrs McCully, Heggle and G. Duthiu for providing tho prizes for the eucro and novelty dances, and to tho orchestra. A very pleasant evening concluded with Auld Lang Syne and rousing cheers for Mr and Mrs Maxwell and tho orchestra. Tennis Club.

A committee meeting of tho tennis club was held last Thursday. Presont: Misses E. Robson, W. Robson, Mossrs M. Robson, B. Williamson, G. Duthle, J. Baker, W. ►Sutherland (chairman), O. Jackson (secretary), Mrs O. Jackson. Correspondence was received and accounts passed for payment. Conditions were drawn up ror tho challenge buttons competition. The handicap committee comprises Miss C. Robson, Messrs H. Robson and Cl. Duthle. Tho match, committee Is Miss E. Robson. Mr H. Robson, Mr and Mrs O. Jackson. Owing to unsuitable weather it was decided to extend ladder challenge conditions obtaining at present until December 2. The M.L.T.A. matches start on Saturday, November 23, when Bunnythorpe will meet Woodvllle at Bunnythorpe. Tho B team yill journey to Colyton. A team, v. Woodvllle: Misses W. Robson,- 13. Robson, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Baker, Messrs L. Little, H. Robson, W. Sutherland and J. Gore. General. November rain has been causing some apprehension among the farmers, as tho cropping season is getting near. The

local streams have been carrying a largo volume of water for some weeks, and sorno of tho low lying paddocks are moro often than not under water. Adherents of summer pastimes have had a very trying time and have not had an opportunity to got themselves into form. Mrs Murray Donald, of Robert’s line, Is spending a holiday with her sister at Plimmerton. Mrs Walton, of Wellington, is the guest of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs K. Cameron.
