Feilding Citizens’ Dance Committee
BLIND INSTITUTE DANCE BAUD TO-NIGHT
In connection with the big dance to bo held in the drill hall this evening and for which the New Zealand Blind Institute’s dance band has .a engaged, the citizens’ committee, controlling the arrangements met on Monday evening when all details were finalised. One matter of importance to patrons was the provision, should the night prove wet, of a traffic officer to control tho hall entrance. This will enable arriving cars to draw up to the hall door to deposit passengers. They will then be required immediately to move on whilst passengers will not unnecessarily t delay alighting. The secretary reported that billets for all members of tho visiting blind orchestra had been arranged. Generous donations of edible requisites had also been made, together with fancy costume prizes, whilst decorations had been voluntarily undertaken by local experts.
The committee expressed the hope that in return the public would enjoy the function, the success of which the district had, by appreciated cooperation, already assured.
