Business Girls Bold Plantation Evening
Tho Business Girls' Club held their final social for tho year which took the form of a “Plantation" evening, iu the Y.WiC.A. club rooms. The costumes wero admirably carried out and overyone entered into tho spirit of the occasion. Those on the committee responsible for the function were Misses L. King, B, Thwaites, M. Day, G. Wakelin, S. Whitehouso, O. Kells, It. Liddle, M. Cooksley, J. Bradfield and N. Sutherland.
Throughout tho evening these merry revellers indulged in games and competitions, -while pleasing items were contributed by Misses M. Day and N. Sutherland (vocal solos), Misses D. Morgan and Mcßean (instrumental string duet) and Miss S. Whitehouso ('Varsity drag). Competitions were won by Miss B. Bull (best dressed nigger), Miss V. Wilson (cako competition), Miss E. Lang (palindromes), Miss B. Liddle (club competition). A delectable supper of saveloys, savouries and bread and butter brought a most enjoyable and entertaining evening to a close.
