Tho Tasman Sea has now been crossed 17 times by air—lo times from Australia to New New Zealand and seven times the other way. Tho only pilots to make the double journey wero Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, in tho Southern Cross and the late Plight-Lieuten-ant C. T. P. Ulum—Sir Charles’ copilot in the pioneer flight—in the Faith in Australia.
