There was an extra large yarding of pigs at tho weekly pig fair held by the Dominion Auctioneering Company on Saturday Over 400 pigs were yarded aud every lino was sold at satisfactory prices. Owing to the increase in bacon prices there was a corresponding increase in the heavy class of pigs and prices realised were as follows: — Wcaners 9s to .17s; slips 13s Od to 18s; stores 16s to 235; porkers 25s to 335; sows to farrow 50s to 555; sows with litter 85s.

Poultry prices wero also well maintained 'with a largo yarding of all sorts. Prices were as follows: —White liens 4s Sd to 6s; Black hens 5s to 6s; cockerels 3s Sd to 6s; ducks 5s to 5s Sd; All prices being per pair. Turkey hens 5s to 6s each; turkey gobblers Gs to 8s each
