Niagara Sails With Volunteer Crew

POLICE GUARD EMBARKATION. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraoh.-i-Coni'richt. Received Sunday, 7.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 20; After being held up for 10 days by labour troubles the Niagara manned by a full volunteer crew sailed at 7 oil Saturday night for Vancouver. Her first stop will be Suva. More men offered than were needed and the examination of their credentials continued throughout the day. A number of unionists with good discharges were included,among those selected. The crew commenced to embark about noon, a squad of police safeguarding their movements tothe ship’s side. There are 22 passengers, one of whom has the entire first-class to himself. The cargo consists of about 1100 tons.
