Welcome to Miss A. Kane
On behalf of the members of the executive committee of the Dominion Federation of Women's Institutes, Mrs H. Paterson (Pahiatua), Dominion president, extended a cordial welcome to Miss A. Kane (recently returned from England), at a meeting in Wellington on Wednesday. Miss Kane was entertained at lunch at Messrs Kirkcaldie and Stains by the committee, and at the afternoon session gave a most interesting account of her experiences, particularly dealing with the annual meeting of the Associated Countrywomen of the World, in London, the annual general meeting of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (also held in London), a handcraft exhibition at Bangor, which she had been invited to open, and mamindividual institutes she had visited. The members found it all intensely interesting.
