Sunshine Club Holds Social Afternoon

A very happy afternon was held by the Sunshine Club in All Saints’ girls' clubroom yesterday, vases of lilac decorating the room. The hostesses, Mrs J. IV. McConnon, Misses Anderson and Pearce, had arranged an enjoyable programme, delightful items being contributed by Shirley Henderson (sword dance), Ruth McDowall (Highland fling), and Neil Watson (action song and recitation). The three little artists responded to encores, Mrs B. E. Mitchell voicing appreciation of their items. Miss June Scott acted as accompanist. Interesting and amusing competitions were won by Mrs J. S. Jcnkinsou, Mrs F. Cushing and Mfs L. J. Plank. The proceeds of the afternoon (£1 Is) are to be donated to the S.P.C.A.
