Aliunga's connections arc satisfied with his gallop to-day and the colt is a sure runner in the Caulfield Cup. Sporting Blood was scratched at 11.35 to-day. He is all right but not forward enough for a strenuous race. His trainer expects the horse to be at his best for the Melbourne Cup. Master Brierly is suffering soreness but will be all right in a few days. H. Moran will ride Plus Fours, A. Breasley or T. Webster Hyperion, and J. O’Sullivan Allunga in the Cup. The New Zealander Prostration finished third in to-day’s Cranbourne Cup. His stable mate, Perfect Idea, won a division of the Novice Handicap at the same meeting. New Zealand acceptors in minor events at Caulfield on Saturday include Red Manfred in the Windsor Handicap, Link Divine, Gay Circle and Yilderim in the Burwood Handicap.
