MARION CATTLE BALE The X.Z, Farmers’ Co-op., llistributing Co., Ltd., report a yarding of 570 sheep, -JLOO head of cat-tie, arul 40 pigs at their fortnightly sale held on Tuesday. There was an exceptionally largo attendance, and an excellent all-round salo resulted. >Somo very fino lines oi P.A., Shorthorn and Bed Polled yearling steers came forward and elicited keen competition. A nice lino of 72 on account of Mr. It. E. Beckett realised £4 9s, Mr. Edgar Galpiu’s realised £4 12s, Messrs Simpson Bros., Heaton Park, £4 ISs, Mr. P. A. Chapman’s £4 14s, and Mr. H. H. Marshall, Porewa, topped the market with an exceptionally fine pen of Bed Polls which realised £o. Mr. D. Pranke’a P.A. yearling heifers came forward in excellent condition and realised £3 Ids, while an extra good line of 2-year P.A. heifers on account of Mrs. Baldwin reached £5. We also sold a very fine pen of prime bpllocks on account of Mrs. M. K. Grice for £lO Ss. WOODVTLLE SALE Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report a good yarding of dairy cows and heifers. with a heavy yarding of pigs at the above sale. The demand for both cows and heifers was very keen with practically a total clearance at auction at values ahead of any previously reached so far this season at this fixture. Pigs of all classes also mot with spirited competition. A small penning of sheep sold readily at late rates.
