Wade Beats Catalino

MEDICAL ATTENTION TO BOTH WRESTLERS.

ASHBURTON, Oct. 16,

Medical attention, to both men was necessary at the close of the strenuous wrestling bout between Glenn Wade and Tony Catalino last night. Wade’s elbow was injured and a misplacement of bones prevented his arm being straightened. The limb will be X-ray-ed to-day. Catalino was unable to leave the ring till long after the theatre was cleared. He suffered severe straining of the ligaments of the left leg. In the third round Wade secured a fall with a rockiug-ehair splits and Catalino secured a fall iu the fourth with a top body scissors and hammer lock. Early in the fifth round the referee stopped the bout awarding the decision to Wade, who was punishing Catalino with a sf.cp-over barred toehold.
