Brisk Bidding at London Wool Sales

Wool submitted at the sales to-day was 9121 bales, including 5131 New Zealand. About G7SO balos of Australian and New Zealand wools wore sold. There were a number of withdrawals, chiefly of slipes.
Brisk Continental and Bradford l)id' ding prevailed.
New Zealand scoured Merinos, “Huldon, ’ ’ made 23d highest, 21 7-Sd average. Greasy crossbred, “N” in circle, made 9*d highest, with an average of Sd.
Opening- Prices Hold in Melbourne MaJuBOURNE, Oct. 2. The "wool market lias remained firm at the opening level of pricc-s. The top prices of the day were HHd per lb for comebacks and IS)d for Merino.
Increased Activity at Sydney Sales Received AYednesday, 10.20 p.m, SYDNEY, Oct. 2. At the wool sales 12,735 bales were offered and 12,100 sold, also 1070 privately. Prices were very firm with Japanese competition strong and increased activity by Continental buyers. Greasy Merino sold at IS.jd.
