Tribute to the Late Mrs D. Sinclair

On Saturday evening special reference was made at St. Paul’s Methodist Church to the passing of Mrs D. Sinclair, who, with her husband, was associated with the church in the oighties of last century. Rev. A. N. Scottcr was the preacher aud chose his text from'Hebrews XI: “Theso all died in faith"; “They without us should not be made perfect.” He spoke of tho courage and diligence of our pioneer fathers aud mothers, who lived for tho future, for their children and for God; also of our responsibility toward them in this much changed aud hurrying world to follow their high example in enduring, loving and sharing Our mothers believed especially in their sons and practised much selfdenial for their welfare. We, their

children, did honour to them by uprightness of character and by generous service to tho community. Such uprightness and service was made possible by the way of Christ, by the forgiveness He granted and tho power He bestowed.

Reference was also mado by the preacher to tho death of Mrs Danvers, at one time' a valued member of St. Paul’s choir. During the service, the choir sang “Saviour, Thy Children Keep,’’ and Miss I. Clark sang “Yet the Lord is Mindful of His Own.’’
