PRESENTATION LAST .EVENING One of the original members of tlio Palmerston North sub-centre of the Red Cross Society, Mrs. M. Blundell, of Palmerston North, who is leaving the city shortly to reside at Wellington, was last evening met by a large attendance of members in St. Andrew’s schoolroom and farewelled. Regret was expressed at the loss of such a valued member, and Mr. J. K. Paton, hon. secretary, on behalf of the sub-centre, presented Mrs. Blundell with a crystal vase as a token of.the high esteem in which she is held. Her departure would mean a great loss after years of service, he said. A social evening was conducted following the weekly class, and games and competitions were held. A solo was contributed by Miss M. Penketh, the

accompanist being Miss Zena King.
