Timely Skin Treatment If the skin is stretched and dry, as it often is at this time of year, the nourishment must literally be driven in, so that it penetrates beneath the surface, and feeds the tissues. The Lest wav of doing this is to give the face a treatment in the following way. Cleanse it with a light cleansing cream, then take a large handkerchief or cloth, dip it in hot water, and hold it right ; over the face. When it cools, replace it with another, and continue in this way for several minutes, until the pores are thoroughly open. Now take a liberal supply of the skin food, and pat and massage it into the skin with ah upward movement. When the entire face is well-coated, wring the cloth out again in hot water, and hold it over the face, on top of the skin food. This enables it to seep right into the skin. ■ Message again with more cream, then, when the skin is soft and pliant and thoroughly nourished, wipe off with paper tissues. It is important after a treatment of this kind to see that the pores are thoroughly closed again, • and to ensure this you must pat well with a padof cottonwood soaked in cold water.
