Midnight Mass by Candlelight
VAST THRONG AT AMERICAN CEREMONIAL Received Thursday, IhoU’p.ni. • CLEVELAND, Ohio, Sept. 25. While more than 150,000 people watched Archbishop Amleto Giovanni Cieognani, ambassador of the Pope to the United States, conduct a midnight Pontilicial Low Mass at the Cleveland Stadium as part of tho seventh National Eucharistic Congress more than half the congregation carried lighted candles which provided illumination for the vast outdoor cathedral with the exception of a few spotlights which played on the. glass-enclosed altar.
