CALGARY, Sept.. 2-1

Because the Very Rev. Hewlett Johnson, Dean of Canterbury, has ‘‘apparently identified himself with a political party,” Dr. Ralph ,Sherman, Anglican Bishop at Calgary, refuses to be the chairman at a Social Credit meeting to be addressed by Dean Johnson on Saturday.

In au interview at Winnipeg yesterday the Dean said that he was in complete accord with the policies of the Premier of .Alberta, (Mr. \V. Aberhart.) He predicted that the Aberhart Party would eventually sweep all Canada.

“Social Credit holds the only solution for muddled finances,’’ declared the Dean of Canterbury, the Very Rev. Hewlett Johnson, at Ottawa on September 18, when opening a speaking tour of Canada. He believed that the Social Credit scheme was workable and was practically on tho point of sweeping the world. He was not in Canada to meddle in internal politics, but as a crusader for a new- financial doctrine which he believed applied Christianity of a practical type.

Prosperity Bonds ISSUE IN ALBERTA EDMONTON, Sept. 24. The Premier of Alberta (Mr. W. Aberhartj has announced the issuo of an unspecified amount of prosperity bonds, at an unspecified interest rate, to be sold to Albertans to pay off outside bonds and debts. .
