HEAVY EXPENSE A BARRIER Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Mr. W. E. Barnard, in the House today asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the Government will in the interests of public health take steps to ensure that all dairy cows aro tested for tuberculosis.

Hon. C. E. Macmillan replied that the application 10 all dairy cows in the Dominion of the test for the determining of tho presence of tuberculosis had been under examination by the Government. It had been shown that to carry it out would involve a great volume of wofk by trained meu and heavj financial expenditure. The question of how the public health can still further bo safeguarded than under the existing system is having the present consideration of the Government.

During tho 1934-35 financial year 70 i samples of mixed milk of individual herds were subjected to the biological test for tuberculosis and all except eight gave a negative jesult.
