' From Our Own Correspondent. There was a good attendance of members at tho annual meeting of the Aokautere Tennis Club, Air Win. Anderson presiding. The president's report showed tho club to have hud a very successful season, some interesting inter-cluli matches having been played. Tho balance sheet showed a very satisfactory credit balance and tho club is to be congratulated on its sound financial position. It is tho intention of the club to proceed with tho construction of tho new concrete court as soon as finances permit. Tho election of officers for thq ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Air Wm. Anderson; vice-presidents, Messrs R. R. Scott, F. Judd, A. Ferguson, L. Craven, W. R, Hopcroft, AI. Kristensen and J. P. Robertson; hon. secretary and treasurer, Aiiss AI. Anderson; club captain, Air J. Woods; hon. auditor, Air F. Gough. Arrangements were completed for the opening day. to be held ou Saturday 28th September, when it At hoped all last year’s members and all new members will be present.
