From Our Owu Correspondent. School Fancy Dress Ball. . Tho event of the year, so far as the chilrden are concerned, the annual fancy dress ball,' was held on Friday evening, when despite very unfavourable weather a large crowd assembled at the drill, hall for this popular function. When the children lined out in tho grand march they presented a colourful sceno with their multi-coloured dresses set off by the festive decorations effected in the hall. Mrs R. R. Johnston and Mr H. Brqoker s orchestra very kindly supplied tho music for tho children’s dancing and games, which were indulged in until 10 o clock, when a huge party was served supper, a tremendous task very capably carried out by Mesdames L. Hurley and E. Nicholson and a host ol’ helpers.
