Tim weekly practice shoot was held ou Monday night. There was a good muster, but only two possib.es were scored by K. Bailey and E. Simpson. Tho trophy presented by Mr C. Klatt was won by S. Quinlan, while a commencement was made with the shoots for Collinson and Son’s trophy. The scores were; K. Bailey 69, 70, 139; E, Simpson 6S, 70, 13S; W. Klatt 09, 68, 137; P. Ellery 69, 6S, 137; H. Ellery 68, 69, 137; W, Robinson 67, 69, 136; S. Quinlan 68, 67, 135; N. Deet 65, 69, 134; F. Simpson 67, 67, 134; J. Ellery 67, 67, 134; D. Koberstein 64, OS, 132; G. Wiggins 64, 67, 131; ese. Ellery 66, 65, 131; J. Frecklington 61, 6S, 129; G. Gray 65, 64, 129; G. Gray 65, 64, 129; Glas. Gray 64, 64, 12S; A. Lammas 62, 64, 126; X’. Hammon 63, 62, 125.

Results of tile Ksw Zealand Miniature Pwille championships of interest to the local club, show that K. Bailey was successful in winning prize money in the A grade vice-presidents' match while In. Beet won in tho B grado match 1 and in the aggregate. Tho local club will lire competition matches for tho Cllffo-Remington and M.M.R.A. trophies against Bulls this week.

Particularly boisterous conditions have prevailed in the district tho last few days. The total rainfall for the past week has been 2.91 inches and as a result drains have been running to capacity. Much water has accumulated in tho low lying parts and in some places the roads have been inundated.

Mr E. Lange (Education Board Agricultural Instructor) visited the school on Monday and examined the scienco work. The Education Board's painters are still engaged in painting the school buildings but should complete the work before tho term holidays
