Winds: Westerly at first in the Cook Strait area, but otherwise south-ivest-e'rly prevailing;, strong in tho far north and south, elsewhere moderate, but freshening again soon. Seas (N.Z.. waters'): Rough to high north of Cape - Egmont; elsewhere rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman: Strong south-west winds of gale force, in the southern portion, and seas will be rough. Weather: Fair at first in eastern districts; otherwise changeable, w'ith scattered showers and some hail. Showers are likely on parts of the coast. Temperatures will. be coid.
