BOTH VESSELS REACH PORT SAFELY. i LONDON, August IS. ’ Three seamen on the iine Laurcntic were killed and a number injured when a collision occurred at night during a tog with the steamer Napier Star in the Irish Sea, fifty miles from Liverpool. The Laurentie was bound from Liverpool with G2O passengers for a cruise to the northern capitals, whilo the Napier Star from Glasgow, was going to Liverpool, her last port of call before sailing for i ew Zealand, The vessels collided bow to bow and were docked at Liverpool. The Napier Star’s bows weresmashed in and twenty feet of the forecastle house demolished. None were injured as the crew slept aft. The Laurentie wafc holed and one side of the bunks exposed in which there were six sleeping seamen, who were killed. The passengers went home from the docks after less than twenty-four hours übf aid.
