Fowler by 5 and 4. fl’lie winner was steadier than his opponent. Brothers Tie in Irish Tourney ERNEST WHITCOMBS WINS. LONDON, July 26. In the. Irish open golf championship replay Ernest Whitcombe, 148, defeated his brother Reginald, 151, but would Liavo been beaten by a hole if it had been under match play conditions. Reginald lost opportunities, taking 7 at the first hole and 6 at the last in the morning round. He also missed the chance of being third. The Whitcombes have a hold on the title as Ernest won it in 192$ and Charles in 1930.
The Whitcombe brothers tied in the final with aggregates of 202.
