Professor Aallierse is unable to form a Cabinet on the wide Parliamentary basis the Quean requested. It is estimated Holland lost between £20,000,000 and £23,000,000 in gold last week, which is one-fifth of the stock held before the Government crisis. It is expected the bank rate will he raised to seven in order to stem the outflow.
