Rangitikei Hunt’s Jubilee Ball

BRILLIANT SCENE AT MARTON The golden jubilee of the Rangitikei flunt Club was celebrated 'in fitting style at the club’s annual ball ou Tuesday night, some 700 dancers from all over the province being in attendance.

The Misses Beckett and their associates arranged the hall decorations with perfect taste. The two supper rooms were gaily arranged with a galaxy of red, white and royal blue streamers swung from the ceiling, while the walls were brightened with a host of hunting scenes set off among huge aluminium horseshoes.' Mrs T. G. Harper capably set out equally effective tioral decorations on the supper tables, which were a real delight to behold. Mrs J. Brice, wife of the master, was in charge of the supper arrangements. Mr J. Brice took advantage of the supper interval' to thank the local farmers for again permitting the hunt to use their property. Mr Arthur "Way’s secretariat had the organisation of the function in perfect trim, and the M.C.’s (Messrs Jas. Bull, J. Brice, F. McLean, P. W. Briant and W. W. "Wilson) also carried out their duties most capably. The members of the hunt, attired in their scarlet-faced jackets, were perfect hosts, and did everything possible to entertain their many guests, who included . Captain

Hcber-Percy, A.D.C. to Viscount Galway (present as the latter’s representative). There were two debutantes—Miss Eve Galbally, of Sanson, who wore a charming frock of white silk net with tiny rucked frills at the hem and neckline, and a white fur coatee, and carrying a posy of sunset pink cyclamen; and Miss N. Poppe, whose pretty frock was of ivory figured melisande and had a frilled cape effect from the cob lar fashioned from silver lame. Her posy was of pink helibores and freesias.
