Cut celery iuto inch-long pieces and slit one end in several places to within a short distance of the base; Drop into cold water, when the celery will crisp and the split part open out and form curled branches. Dry in a clean cloth and use as a garnish.
Rust marks on white tabic linen and clothes can be removed by dipping the spot in a solutioa of one part hydrochloric acid to three parts of water. The spot will disappear, and tho cloth must then bo rinsed in warm water in which a little soda has been dissolved. Rinse finally in cold water. The fat for cooking Yorksliiro pudding should be smoking hot when the batter is poured in. Cut old corks into half rounds and stick with some strong adhesivo to the backs of mirrors and at the corners of picture frames. If there is any dampness in tho walls tho cork will prevent it damaging the mirrors and pictures. Paint stains can be removed from clothes by saturating tho stain with equal parts of ammonia and spirits of turpentine. Repeat the process if necessary, then wash tho article in warm, soapy water. Juice left over from tinned fruits or fruit salad may be used to make a fruit punch. Boil together for 20 minutes water and sugar in the proportion of 1 quart to 40z., adding lemon juico and any fruit syrups. Servo cold.
