Feilding Jockey Club
annual report Tho following is the annual report of the Feilding Jockey Club, which will be presented at tho annual meeting to be liei'd to-night:— "A net lo,ss of £l4l ISs Gs has been mado on the year's working, afterproviding £6SI 17s Sd for depreciation of buildings and plant, against a loss of £155 6s 2d last year. A pleasing feature of the year's racing is that attendances at both meetings were the best since 1931, and chiefly on this account receipts show a slight increase. Stake money was raised by £205 and a good responso was received from owners. The grounds and tracks have been well maintained, but the only improvements carried out during the year have been a loading bank for horsefloats and gfftes for protection of placed horses and their riders in the birdcage. “It is with deep regret that your committee has to record a heavy deathroll among members during the year, including Messrs G. H. Saywell, C. N. Cotterill (both life members and committeemen for many years), W. T. Hook, H. B. D'Oyly and J. McKelvic. The president, vice-president, hon. treasurer and four committeemen retire in acocrdance with the rules, tho retiring committemen being Messrs 13. Fair, E. Goodbehere, T. O’Neill and A. H. Sutton. The following nominations have been received: President, Mr W. G. Fry; vice-president, Mr K. J. Harper; committee, Messrs E. Fair, E. Goodbehere, T. O’Neill and A. H. Sutton; hon. treasurer, Mr W. J. Shannon. There will be no election as nominations do not exceed tho number of vacancies, but nominations will be called later by tho committee under rule 23 to fill the vacancy caused by Mr Harper accepting the position of vice-president.’ ’
