“They Call it Sin” Adapted From Novel

On a set representing the salon of an exclusivo fashion house, seven of England’s loveliest mannequins displayed seven of the exquisite frocks which appear in the new Gaumont musical romance, “Car of Dreams.” The cast of “Car of Dreams” includes John Mills, Greta Mosheim, Robertson Hare, Paul Graetz, Jack Hobbs, and Glennis Lorimer.

One of the most unusual dramas seen on the screen in a long time, is titled “They Call. It Sin,” a First National production taken from the widely read novel-by Alberta Steelman Eagan.

It carries an unusual'plot, the battle of a small-town Western girl for success on the New York stage, and the temptations which arc thrown into her path.

She quits her home in the West when she finds that the family which has brought her up, and whic 1 ’ has no sympathy for her unusual, taieffts, is not even related to her. Being in love with a young man in New York, whom she had met in her home town, she goes there, only to find he is about to marry another.

She then goes to work to wrest success from the stage as a musician. The story is dramatic in situation, and highly emotional in the portrayal of the innermost feelings of a'young girl in love, who becomes reckless when she finds her love can’t be eonsumated.

The major roles in the screen/version of “Scrooge” have now been cast. Several well-known players have joined' Seymour Hicks, in the name pait, and Donald Calthrop as Bob Cratchit. Oscat Asche, whose rotund figuro,-should fill the screen, both literally and figuratively, will be the jovial Spirit of. Christmas • Present. Bred, the screen nephew to ! Scrooge, will be played by Robert Cochran.
