The monthly social afternoon of All Saints’ Ladies' Social Guild (Foxton) was held on Tuesday afternoon when, despite boisterous weather conditions, there was.g fair attendance. The hostesses F. A. Mason, E. W. Thane, S. Austin, R. Easton, W. M. Thomas, W. Anderson and Miss Z. Easton. Competitions which were held during the afternoon wero won as fallow: —Movie stars, Mrs. P. Hannay; dart throwing, Mrs. W. Anderson; tearing paper animals, Mrs. W. E. Barber; candlo lighting, Mrs. W. Ogden; cake names, Mrs. P. Hannay.
