Wedding of District Interest
MULAN—CASKE. The Roman Catholic Church, Foxton, was tho scene of a very pretty wodding on Wednesday morning, when Aliss G. Caske, of Bainesse, was united to Mr. J. Mulan, of Shannon. The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Air. Farmer, of Rangiotu, wore a charming frock of magnolia crinkle velvet, made with tight-fitting bodice, square neck-line trimmed with orange blossom, and ankle-longth skirt. She wore a beautifully embroidered veil held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white cactus dahlias, lily of the valley and maidenhair fern.
Aliss Joan Byne, of Foxton, attended tho bride as bridesmaid, wearing a lovely frock of apricot crinkle crepe made on princess lines, with draped bodice and sash at the back, and three-quar-ter length full sleeves. She wore a felt hat and shoes and stockings to tone, and carried a bouquet of white cactus dahlias, marguerite daisies and blue forget-me-nots. The duties of best man were carried out by Air. Frank Smith, of Foxton. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Evans and hymns were sung by the junior choir. A reception was subsequently held at the residence of Airs. J. Evans, ot Johnston street, which was attended by relatives and friends. Tho lovely two-tiered wedding cake was made by the bride and iced by Air. Whitehead, of Palmerston North.
The happy couple later left by car for Auckland, the bride travelling in a nigger brown woven woollen frock trimmed with Alarina blue, and a nigger brown coat and hat, with shoes, stockings, gloves and handbag to tone.
Air. and Airs. Alulan’s future home will be in Shannon.
