A Correction
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —With reference to the remarks made by Cr. Tennent at the Chamber of Commerce meeting, I wish to correct the following mis-statement: “The city had offered £3OOO more than under the old contract.” The council offer was only. ..£2OO above the previous contract. As the board’s latest offer of £2750 has been declined by the founcil it must be quite apparent that ' Cr. Tennent has been misinformed. —I am, etc.,
