NORTH WILL BE CHOSEN AT PALMERSTON Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The following players have been chosen from the South Island trials by the New Zealand selectors, Messrs. Alan A. Adams (West Coast), W. Pearson (Otago), E. McKenzie (Wairarapa) and V. R. Meredith (Auckland) to take part in the New Zialand Possibles v. Probables matches to be played in Wellington on Thursday and Saturday of this week: — Backs. Pull-back: G. Gilbert (West Coast). Wing-tkrccquarters: G. F. Hart (Canterbury), T. Morrison (South Canterbury), E. Holder (Bullcr). Centre thrccquarters: C. «T. Oliver (Canterbury) and N. Mitchell (Southland). Half-back: H. Simon (Otago). Forwards. Front row: L, George (Southland), J. Hore (Otago), G. Adkins (South Canterbury), O. Hattcrsley (Canterbury), G. Orman (Bullcr). Locks: F. Vorrath (Otago), J. Best (Marlborough), R. King (West Coast). Side row: H. Deavoll (Canterbury), "G. Giddings (South Canterbury), F. Green (Otago) and L. Niven (Otago). These players will leave for Wellington to-morrow. Tho New Zealand selectors will attend tho final North Island Possibles v. Probables trial to be played at Palmerston North on Tuesday. After that match the North Island players to take part in the two fina. trials will bo chosen. Then from the South Island and the North Island players Possibles and Probables teams will be selected to play in Wellington on Thursday. The final trial match will take the form of a second Probables and Possibles game to be played in Wellington next Saturday.

The following All Black candidates will be staying at the Hotel Imperial to-day: Messrs. G. Nepia, East Coast; T. Smith. Wairoa; M. Campbell, Wanganui; G. Brown, Auckland; J. Page, Wellington; J. Griffiths, Wellington; T. Kilby, Wellington; A. Andrews, Wellington; J. Wynyard, Waikato; T. Reid, Napier; N. Ross, North Auckland; J. Lecson, Waikato; T. Dalton, Napier; C. Popper, Auckland; W. Hadley, Auckland; 11. Mataira, Napier; F. Sadler, Wellington; W. Carlson, Waikato.

The selectors, Messrs. E. McKenzie (Mastcrton),. A. A. Adams (West Coast), V. E. Meredith (Auckland) and W. Pearson (Dunedin) will also be at the Imperial.
