TIRED, PERHAPS.
A rather fussy old gentleman who could not sec eye to eye with the taxi driver on the question of fare, finally remarked: “Don’t you try to tell me anything, my good fellow. I haven’t been riding in taxis for twelve yearsfor nothing.’ ’ The driver sniffed. “No,” he replied; “but I bet you had a blooming good try.”
