Horses very often form curious friendships. One in Brisbane is Kiltie I Lassie who, because of a pronounced affection for a stable pony, had to be withdrawn from a race at Albion Park recently. The pony accompanies her everywhere, and because it was refused admittance to tho course the marc broke out into a lather of sweat and became almost unmanageable. Her condition was such at the enforced separation that her trainer had no option but to scratch her and take her home.
