Rain in Msst Districts Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A very deep depression is crossing the Dominion, its centre being to tho south. The pressure has risen rapidly over eastern Australia.

Winds: Moderate to strong northerly winds, reaching gale forco in places, but a change to southerly gales sotting in soon in the south and becoming general in about 24 hours. Seas (New Zealand waters): Bough on the West Coast and about Cook Strait; elsewhere moderate, later becoming rough generally. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong northerly winds to gales and rough seas. Weather: Cloudy to overcast, with rain in most districts, snow on the highlands and hail in places. Temperatures becoming cold.
