Silver Jubilee
The local celebration arrangements for the Silver Jubilee of the King have noiv been finalised for tho celebrations to be Held on Monday next, May 0. At 9.30 a.m. a parade will assemble at the barracks in Main street and proceed to tho band rotunda, where an address will lie delivered by-the Mayor. At 1 p.m. a gigantic procession will leave the Opera House and proceed around the Square to the Showgrounds, where a suitable programme has been arranged. Full particulars will be found in another column and all citizens and organisations are cordially requested to co-operate to make this a memorable occasion.
