“New Zealand Man’s Earthly Paradise”

TRIBUTE BY LORD BLEDITLOE United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, April 30.

“Seddon described New Zealand as God’s own country; I call it man’s earthly paradise,” writes Lord Bledisloe in supporting Sir lan Hamilton’s suggestion that New Zealand is one of the best places in the Empire to bring up a healthy and happy family. He adds: “Apart from its scenic loveliness, incomparable climate, fertile soils and excellent sport, it is pre-eminently peopled by Nature’s gentlefolk. Nowhere in the world, considering all classes and both races, is the standard of education, refinement and culture higher or the people more warmhearted, hospitable and loveable.”
