RUAHINE CLUB MAKING STEADY ADVANCES. Tlio following review of the past year was presented to the annual meeting last night of the Ruahino Tramping Club.

Membership is also increasing, now standing at 60, a good indication of tho club's popularity. Tho high ideals maintained cannot mean anything but success to our activities.

"Wo congratulate .Miss H. Tarr on winning Mr. Stoinmullcr’s prize for the girl attending the tramps most successfully; Mr. R. Wc acknowledge private trips put on by members to open up new country for the furtherance of tramping. Trips undertaken by the club numbered 30, an increaso of 4 on the year previous. All were well attended, tho largest party being 31. The most notable was the Easter one to National Park, led by Mr. R. Lawson.

We congratulate the social committee for excellent evenings and educational lectures organised. “Ten committee meetings ivere held and all were well attended. Rules were framed and distributed to members. During the year a badge was designed incorporating tho club colours, aud, together with the familiar blue shirt, is to bo seen off tho beaten path. In March wc beeamo an incorporated body. Our thanks are due to all members for their keenness in activities: to other clubs for the use of huts and tracks and for sending us bulletins and magazines; also to property-owners who allowed us right of way." Enthusiastic Meeting.
