Laughton Replaces Beery In “Mutiny On The Bounty”

Frank Lloyd, tho director, and a unit from the Mctro-Goklwyn-Maycr studios have left for the South Seas to obtain location sequences for “Mutiny on the Bounty.” Tho film is based on the novel by Charles XordhoT and James Norman Hall. It is announced that Charles Laughton, and not Wallace Beery, will be costarred with Clark Gable and Robert Montgomery in this picture. Fred Astaire, having beaten oil a severe attack of laryngitis, is back at work at tho RKO Radio studio in Hollywood making his last big dancing number in “Roberta” with Ginger Rogers.
