Python Attacks Car Snaket have been in the limelight recently. In the Cape of Good Hope a yellow cobra was attracted by the music of a brass baud when the musicians of tho Independent Order of True Templars were at practice. It put the hand temporarily out of action until the drummer killed it with his drumstick. . At Lusaka, the new capital of Northern Rhodesia, a huge python stretched itself across the road in the path of an approaching motor lorry. Instead of moving out of the way of the vehicle it reared up, its head towering above tho hood of the car. The terrified native driver ran into a tree and the snake viciously attacked the bonnet of the lorry.

Forty-seven persons, charged will conspiracy to counterfeit coins, were acquitted recently at Allahabad after a trial which began in January,l933. Two hundred and forty witnesses were called.
