PERSONALITIES
After spending a holiday at Titahi Bay, Wellington, Mr 11. B. Tucker, proprietor of the Club hotel, Palmerston North, has returned to the city much benefited in health. On Saturday afternoon there passed away suddenly at Mangaore, Shannon, a highly-respected citizen of the district, as well as one of the most efficient of the Mangaore hydro-electrical staff, in the person of Mr William Snclling. Ho was for ten years mechanical' engineer at the power house, Mangaore. Born at Southwick, Sussex, England, a son of William Suell-
ing, he came to New Zealand with his wifo 30 years ago. He followed his calling for years at Tokomaru Bay, besides spending some time in Palmerston North, whero his brother, Mr George Snclling, still resides. Of a lovable and generous disposition, he was always first to offer help to those in need. He was an ardent Freemason and did valuable work for the lodge in Shannon. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, two sons (Henry, of Omanaia, and George, of Wellington), and one daughter. He is also, survived by his father, a sister and brother.
