Petone Wedding of District Interest

LASSEN—JACOBSEN. A pretty wedding was solemnised at tlie Wesley Church, Petone, on Wednesday, April 24, when Grace, third daughter of Mr. J. Jacobsen, of 14 Victoria street, Petone, was married to Gordon, youngest son of Mrs. L. Lassen, of Bunnythorpe. The Rev. Sago was the officiating minister and Mrs. Maud presided at the organ. bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a frock of beige georgette, made on primrose • lines, and finished with fine pleatings and diamante ornaments. She wore a hat of boige felt, with touches of gold and mulberry and velvet shoes to match. A bouquet of apricot roses and autumn foliage, tied with gold ribbon, completed a' charming toilette. Miss Boris Jacobsen attended her sister as bridesmaid, and her frock of salrnond windswept cropc with a cowl front effect and circular frilled skirt, was finished With a posy of velvet flowers. Her hat was of beige felt vuith touches of salmon velvet and she wore velvet shoes to match. Tier bouquet was of Irish elegance roses and autumn foliage. Mr. A. Stewart attended the bridegroom as best man. During the signing of the register, Mrs. Glover sang “Thanks be to God." When the bridal couple walked down the aisle little Miss Alice Clarke presented the bride with a silver horseshoe. After the ceremony a reception wa-s hold at the Waddington Lounge, where Mrs. Stewart and Miss Jacobsen received the guests. After the usual toasts were honoured, Ihe bride and bridegroom loft by car for National Park and Rotorua, the bride wearing a navy tailored costume with hat, shoes and bag to tone. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Lassen will ho in Bunnythorpe. The bouquets, which had been made by Mrs. A. Currie, of Ashhurst, were greatly admired.
