Glazing Pastry Without Eggs
To one tablcspoonfui' of brown sugar add two tablespoonfuls of milk. Boil them together until the sugar is dissolved, and then cool. Brush over the pastry with this before putting it in the oven, and it will uroduco a beautiful brown crust.
