Anniversary of Birth of William Wordsworth

NOVEL BROADCAST TO NORTH AMERICA (British. Official Wireless.) Received Tuesday, 7 p.m. RUGBY, April S. On the occasion of the anniversary yesterday of the birth in 1770 of William Wordsworth, the songs of thrushes and blackbirds outside Dove Cottage, Grasmere, Westmorland, where he lived for many years, were broadcast to the United States and Canada. The bells, of St. Oswald’s Church, Grasmere, in which Wordsworth worshipped and in whose churchyard he lies buried, were also heard.
