Palmerston North Ladies’ Golf Club
PREPARATIONS TOR NEW SEASON The annual meeting of (he Palmerston North Ladies’ Golf Club was held last evening, Mrs. Cioehctto presiding over a good attendance. The annual report (previously published) was adopted without discussion. Minutes of the annual council mect-j ing of the Ladies’ Golf Union were presented to the meeting, and other correspondence was received. Election of Officers. Club captain, Mrs. Cioehctto (reelected); secretary, Mrs. S. Parkcs (reelected) ; committee, Mesdames McMurray, Cumberworth and Bott, Misses Dudding and E. Moffatt; social committee, Mesdames W. E. Day, T. P. Hart and E. Simpson, Misses A. Free, J. Brown and P. Bryce. Mrs. Parkes’ offer of her home for bridge evenings during (lie season was gratefully accepted. The suggestion put forward by Mrs. H. Bennett for friendly competitions between Tuesday and Saturday players was approved for recommendation to tho committee. A suggestion put forward by Mrs. Simpson to revert to the method of having a qualifying round for the championship was not approved.
