Margaret Sullavan’s Role in “The Good Fairy”
Margaret Suliavan plays the role of Lu in Universal’s “The Good Fairy." Lu was a little usher, young and lovely, and quite innocent of life, except as it flittered across the screen.
All her hopes, her dreams, her thoughts, were gilded by the glamour of what she saw in tho movies. Men were “Nature’s noblemen" and women “beautiful visions.” And life was a high adventure, filled with exciting surprises. In the pretty head of that usherette, no other world existed than that which sho watched from her aisle every day. So when she tried to cope with people who were not shadows, her air castles tumbled. llow she salvaged happiness from theso vanishing mirages, Ferenc Molnar reveals in “The' Good Fairy." The supporting cast includes Herbert Marshall,- Frank Morgan, Reginald Owen, and Alan Hale.
