Mr. Justice Nicholas, in the Probate Court to-day, granted leave to Ellen Andrec Skilling, of Auckland, to' swear to the death of Joseph Leonard Skilling, navigator and wireless operator with Ulm on his ill-fated trans-Pacific flight in December. Mrs. Skilling's affidavit stated that Skilling was to receive £7 10s weekly until the completion of the flight, £250 in respect of his services and all' living expenses, and £lO weekly for six weeks after the completion of the flight. Another clause in Skilling's agreement released Dim from all claims arising out of accident or death during the period of his employment.
